The LTPOA Annual Training Conference will be hosted by the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office in Gonzales, LA at the Clarion Inn and Convention Center.
We will have further information for the training tracks later this week.
Vendor / debrief day will be on Monday, competition day on Tuesday (limited to 16 teams), with the training tracks being on Wednesday and Thursday concluding on Friday. The banquet will also be on Wednesday.
There will be at least 2 INSTRUCTOR LEVEL TRACKS OFFERED THROUGH FRIDAY.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office will be offering a Basic Police Sniper school May 21-25, 2012. This school will certify and prepare snipers for operational use. Class curriculum includes basic weapon operation and safety, familiarization with internal and exterior ballistics, recommended policy and procedures, deployment considerations, hostage rescue, range estimation, field-craft/camouflage, observation and reporting, command fire, positional shooting, data book entry and diagramming. All students will develop rifle data to 300 yards.
