Leadership Development – Being the Best at What You Do!

“How to be More Effective Leading Your Team and Organization”

A Three Day Program
Presented by: Former National Academy Faculty

The Louisiana Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates Leadership Development program is a three-day course designed specifically for law enforcement supervisors, mid-level managers and senior executives. It is a dynamic program that builds from one module to the next. Each session explores a new topic area critical to the success of law enforcement leaders and managers. The program focuses on the key areas of: 1) Human Behavior in Organizations – DISC; 2) The Human Side of Change; 3) Human Performance; 4) Transformational and Adaptive Leadership; 5) Generational Differences; and 6) Effective Communications. All participants will complete an assessment instrument designed to identify preferred styles of human behavior while working with others.

• Human Behavior in Organizations – DISC: Gain an understanding of your preferred style of interacting with others and why it can be more effective.
• Change: Creating change is easy, transitioning from where you are to where you want to be is the hard part.
• Performance: Your role as a leader is to get the most out of your team––Do you know what to do when you’re not?
• Leadership: Getting things done through others and adapting your style to achieve results.
• Generational Differences: Overcoming the divide of misunderstanding of different worlds.
• Communicating: How do you ensure your team understands all you are telling them?

This is a highly interactive program for law enforcement professionals who strongly desire to reach their leadership potential and maximize their effectiveness. The Seminar uses adult learning techniques and is grounded in both theory and practice. Due to the distinct backgrounds and experience of the presenters in the law enforcement and education professions, participants are ensured of an extraordinarily high quality experience. The program explores real life situations involving law enforcement challenges and solutions. Further, the caliber of these educators is such that they are able to use their consulting talents to apply the ideas and theories of the classroom to the specific situations raised by course participants.
This program was designed by FBI National Academy graduates of the Louisiana Chapter and former FBI Academy faculty who remain actively engaged at the local, national and international levels in their commitment to enhance the profession and practice of law enforcement. Of all the many programs being offered for leaders in Law Enforcement today, this one will exceed expectations.
